Pinewood Derby
There was a discussion on what went well and what we could do better. Some thoughts were to separate the BB Gun into a different day event, making the event shorter, do things on a rotation basis with set times, etc. To solicit parents feedback, I created a survey.
New Business:
Planning for Merit Adventure 1, Ranger Kids Day 1 -- May 16 --- Start at 9 am & end at 3pm, awards ceremony at 2:30 pm

Outreach Day -- July 17, 18
Fri -- Camp over night -- come after supper, set up tent, go to concert, snack and to bed
Sat -- Simple breakfast, activities tied to outreach, Rope Bridge, hand out flyers --"Come and learn more about RR", Concert at the lake
Staffing District Pow Wow -- June 26-28 -- Delmarva Section Events
– Overall centralized set up with 3 activities: Need total of 4 people at all times -- 1 person directing boys/leaders,
– Atlatls (Spear or dart throwing) -- need 1 adult -- allows 6 kids, shooting for targets, 2 shots each -- then all score and retrieve
– Water Balloons -- need 1 adult
– Water Rockets -- Need 1 adult
We will invite people from various outposts to help with activities.

Regional and National
New emphasis on building relationships and moving from good to great and not overdoing the quantity of activities. We took this to heart and only planned two sectional activities.
2010 Pinewood Derby
Pointers for organizing 2010 event -- Continue to do each grouping by themselves, use only 1 track, final race off at the end, consider rotating groups thru stations where it will work, have 8 targets for BB gun and all guns & glasses to insure it runs smoothly and quickly, have an electronic race using the We (Eric to research), obstacle course, basketball - 3 on 3 and Free throw competition, cardboard house competition.
New Business:
Outreach to new churches -- Steve will research the PCCNA and find other churches we can contact and assign just one per person for those interested in seeing the RR ministry expand in the Delmarva Section. If a church is interested we will schedule presentations and help them get started.
Sectional Website
Steve Steffel will contact Pastor Satryan to see if webmaster can update our site with new information.
Meetings and Pinewood Derby
Recommendation to have at Calvary or Praise for simplicity and alternate between the 2 locations
